After working in the real estate industry for many years, in 2010, when the market took a downswing, Ting learned to play poker at a friend’s home game. A notable hand that fateful first day: she flopped a royal flush and asked, “If I have a straight and a flush, can I use the flush?”  From there, her joy and passion for poker began.

Ting was a member of Team CardsChat during the 2014 WSOP Little One for One Drop, where she played in honor of the late Chad Brown, with “passion, courage, conviction, and strength.”

Although Ting has found some success playing poker, she tries to balance her love of poker, with life off the felt.  She considers herself a champion of the four-legged, and has been heard to say that there isn’t a stray she wouldn’t pull her car over to save.  Among the charities Ting supports, the one closest to her heart is the Komen Foundation.
